Abstract:	太極、兩儀、三才、八卦，是中國文化傳統的基本元素；簡言之，太極意即整體性，兩儀即兩個方向，三才即三個系統，八卦即八個現象。其中蘊含了中國人對天道及人道的深沉思考。至於西方理論物理中的宇宙創生模型，則討論到宇宙如何誕生及演化，以及時間、空間、物質、能量如何出現的問題。同時涉及了宇宙誕生之前的形上奧秘。本文發現，這兩條全不相同的文化路徑竟然可以接通、討論、與印證。為東方哲學拓寬了物理視野，也為西方物理加強了形上論據。但在討論一、二、三的含義及奇異點、大爆炸、暴漲的同時，我們發現有一個不能 Tai – chi , Lan – i , San – cai , Ba – gua are the fundamental elements of the Chinese traditional culture , In a few words , the significance of Tai – chi is wholeness , Lan – i is two different tracks , San – cai is three kinds of system , Ba – gua is
