Abstract:	「生態工程」這個名詞從最初被各界質疑，到今天成為社會大眾的共識，期間竟然已經步入了第十個年頭，然而其實生態工程的終極價值，並不是在於學理上的論證，而是積極的生活實踐，這也正是本文要說明的一種觀念—以生態工程營造優質的生活環境。生活在二十一世紀的我們享受到了許多二十年前還很難想像得到的生活便利：電腦的普遍化使資訊的傳輸快速而有效率、網際網路的運用讓我們深切了解「天涯若比鄰」，從前遠行在外的遊子與家鄉的聯繫靠的是信件往返，之後是電話聯絡，現在則是靠網際網路互相聊天，出國旅行已經變成許多家庭主要的休閒選項….
