Abstract:	大型重型機車自2003年正式開放進口後，目前車輛數已約2萬輛，雖然與一般機車之數量不成比例，但從近年之肇事資料發現：平均每萬輛車發生A1或A2類交通事故之件數達456件，高居所有車輛之首，然國內對於大型重型機車駕駛行為之研究卻十分有限，如何掌握大型重型機車之交通特性，即為提升其安全之重要課題。本研究選定台3線、台2線、縣106三條大型重型機車經常使用之路段，共設二處直線路段調查位置及二處彎道路段調查位置，進行大型重型機車與各車種之交通特性調查。分析結果發現大型重型機車騎士則因為高速行駛、車道中車輛速率變異 The accident rate of large motorcycles with engine sizes over 250cc is higher than other private vehicles in Taiwan.
