    Abstract: 我國政府從1998年起實施週休二日制度,人們逐漸開始重視休閒生活,國內及國外旅遊次數也相對的提高,使旅館產業蓬勃發展,旅館家數不斷成長。近來兩岸的交流不斷,使得來台陸客數不斷成長。旅館業提供顧客較日常生活更舒適之消費環境,為此須耗費極大量之水、電、瓦斯等能源,且於營運過程中更產生不可計數之垃圾及廢棄物品。在環保意識抬頭下,綠色旅館更為人所重視;在國外早有相當多組織針對綠色旅館的評鑑訂出相關指標,我國則直到2008年才制定「旅館業環保標章規格標準」。
