Abstract:	近年來政府發展觀光休閒產業不遺餘力，嘉義縣大埔鄉地處曾文水庫集水區丘陵地帶，本身擁有之觀光資源相當豐富，但礙於法令、交通限制缺乏積極的作為，導致大埔鄉並沒有利用其優勢發展出觀光休閒產業，只有少數產業自行發展。本文由收集文獻與研究者訪談觀察發現：大埔鄉發展觀光休閒有其優勢、機會、劣勢及威脅，未來發展應朝向釣魚度假村、水岸生態村、漂流木藝術村等方向規劃。而目前開發所受的相關法律規範與政策之影響，以及開發環境的改變，利用策略規劃探討大埔鄉觀光產業發展，要發展觀光休閒需由政府積極運作，才能讓產業、社區、非政府組織 The government has endeavored to develop the tourism and recreation industry.
